For over 20 years, Pedro Ostia-Vega has worked in the financial industry, assisting clients for financial institutions such as HSBC Securities and National Bank Financial. In 2012, Pedro Ostia-Vega transitioned to a sales associate role at Raymond James Ltd. and later became a senior associate wealth advisor on the Portage Wealth team.
In this role, Mr. Ostia-Vega oversees the daily operations of the Portage Wealth team. He manages the team's trading and portfolio implementation and is the primary point of contact for a portion of the team's clients. He makes investing for clients a seamless, comfortable experience. His strategy for working with clients is to be proactive and help them focus on their long-term financial goals.
Mr. Ostia-Vega’s clients benefit from his expertise in cross-border investments, and his understanding of the financial markets. He has received multiple certifications, including the FINRA Series 63 and 37 certification.
When he is not at work, Mr. Ostia-Vega enjoys spending time with his family. Additionally, he resets by engaging in fitness activities, including playing basketball. His life philosophy is “to make sure what you’re doing today gets you closer to where you want to be tomorrow.” He currently lives in Toronto, Canada.
